Members of the Bar,
The district and bankruptcy courts approved shutdown plans today. If a lapse in appropriations occurs after September 30, and the government shuts down, the Judiciary will continue normal operations for approximately 10 business days using funds from fees and no-year appropriations. Thereafter, judges will continue to hear and decide cases; however, agency support staff will be reduced to performing essential activities.
