The Omaha Bar Association, in cooperation with the Nebraska Federal Practice Committee, is sponsoring an on-demand continuing legal education program entitled, “The POWER Act: The Historical, Present and Future Legal Representation of Native American Domestic Violence Victims.” | https://www.ned.uscourts.gov/internetDocs/publicNotices/2020/public-noti...

The program will explore the Pro bono Work to Empower and Represent (POWER) Act of 2018, including discussion of domestic violence perpetrated against Native American victims and the push for greater legal representation of those victims. This presentation is dedicated to the late Judge Laurie Smith Camp, who was instrumental in assembling the speakers and topics.
