The current term of United States Magistrate Judge Cheryl R. Zwart of the United States District Court for the District of Nebraska will expire on January 14, 2018. Magistrate Judge Zwart has decided to stand for reappointment to another eight-year term. As required by law, Chief United States District Judge Laurie Smith Camp has appointed a merit selection panel composed of members of the public and the bar to make a recommendation to the district judges on Magistrate Judge Zwart’s reappointment. The merit selection panel welcomes comments from the bar and the public on Magistrate Judge Zwart’s reappointment. Comments must be received by May 10, 2017, and should be directed to:
