1. Certificates of Good Standing Available Electronically.

Effective August 30, 2010, attorneys may log on to CM/ECF to request certificates of good standing.  Attorneys may also pay the $15 fee for a certificate online via Pay.gov.  Completed certificates will be e-mailed to the requesting attorney's primary e-mail address.  Instructions for filing this event are available on the court's Web site at http://www.ned.uscourts.gov/cmecf/Certificate_Good_Standing.pdf.

2. Judicial Council Decisions.

At its July 30, 2010, meeting, the United States District Court Judicial Council adopted the Court Electronic Organizer (CEO) as the court's internal calendar program.  Starting in October, the CEO Web calendar will replace the CM/ECF Calendar Events Report for public access.

The Council also approved the "Docket Plan for the New Lincoln Judge and Judge Kopf," http://www.ned.uscourts.gov/internetDocs/pom/crtplans/NewLincolnJudgeAndJudgeKopf.pdf.

3. CM/ECF: Version 4.1.1.

The court went live on Version 4.1.1 of CM/ECF on July 26, 2010.  Please visit the PACER Web site to learn about the changes to this version at http://www.pacer.gov/documents/cmecf/relnotes/district_4.1.pdf.

4. CM/ECF: Training for Advanced Electronic Filing.

The fall training sessions for Advanced Electronic Filing will take place in Omaha on October 26 and in Lincoln on October 28.  The Advanced Electronic Filing course covers Adobe Acrobat skills such as reducing file size, creating bookmarks, and redaction; creating hyperlinks within filings; and CM/ECF skills such as civil case opening, filing sealed, restricted, and ex parte documents, and working with attachments.  Registration is available on the court's Web site at http://www.ned.uscourts.gov/cmecf/training.html.  If you have a group of 10 or more and a facility that allows for hands-on computer training, the court can send a trainer to your office.  Call (402) 661-5998 or send a message to cmecfteach@ned.uscourts.gov.
