Job Purpose: 

To tend laundering machines to clean articles such as wearing apparel, sheets, blankets, and other linens used by the hotel and guests.

Job Responsibilities:  

  1. Load articles into washer and adds specified amount of detergent, soap, or other cleaning agent.
  2. Turn valve to fill washer with water.
  3. Start machine that automatically washes and rinses articles.
  4. Lift clean, wet articles from washer and places them successively into wringers and driers for measured time cycles.
  5. Sort dried articles according to identification number or type.
  6. Fold and place item in appropriate storage bin.
  7. Iron all table linens.
  8. Lubricate machines, using grease gun and oil can.
  9. Ensure cleanliness of equipment.
  10. Take the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.
  11. Other duties as assigned.

Job Skills:

  1. Follow instructions.
  2. Adjust to doing the same thing over and over.
  3. Move or lift heavy objects.
  4. Familiarity of the material safety data sheet when using chemicals and safety rules when working around machinery.

Job Summary:
To operate flour mill in a safe and efficient manner maximizing yield and production. Mill flour to customer specifications and be responsible for the shift and crew, including their duties.

Position Responsibilities:
Responsible for the shift, including the crew and their duties. Directs and supervises the mill crew. Has the authority to call in maintenance personnel in the event of a breakdown. Must communicate with the miller of the previous shift as to what wheat mixes are being ground, what settings have been changed and if there were any specific problems on the shift. Must take and record hourly scale readings. Keep watch for chokes and/or possible chokes and correct with the help of the mill crew. Run extractions as soon as possible after shift starts and again after any wheat change. Record results on proper forms. Check and set rolls for proper grinding, set feeder gates to spread stock evenly across entire roll surface. Make certain roll scrapers and brushes are working properly. Check stocks that are ground with multiple rolls for even distribution to all rolls and adjust splitter or valves as necessary. Bin flour properly by grade and communicate with Blender. Be familiar with all starter locations and know how to start and stop all mill equipment. Make minor repairs such as belt repairs, etc. Call in relief for anyone on the mill crew who reports off. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Position Qualifications:
Must work safely, following all safety procedures, taking all precautions and usinng all required safety equipment.
Must follow all GMP's and other company policies.
Must work efficiently, be alert, organized and cooperative at all times.
High School diploma or equivalent work experience.
Must work overtime when required.
Must be able to work in dusty, dirty conditions.
Must communicate well, both verbally and written.
Must be computer literate with the ability to enter and interpret data in the sytem.
