EMBASSY SUITES - DOWNTOWN/OLD MARKET

ROOMS DIVISION

Bell Person (2445, 2451 and 2457) – Full-Time – Starts at $7.25 + tips per hour.   This position escorts incoming hotel guests to rooms and assists guests with luggage. May pick up articles for laundry and valet service and call taxi for guests. Maintains courtesy van consisting of washing, cleaning, and fueling and parking of guests’ cars. May transport guests in local area in van. A great attitude and excellent customer service skills are needed. Good driving record required.

Housekeeping Utility (2433, 2446 and 2453) – Full-Time - Starts at $8.16 per hour Weekends required.  This position performs tasks to maintain the hotel premises, thereby contributing to a pleasant guest experience.  Some duties include dusting furniture, vacuuming, and emptying garbage, cleaning public areas as well as employee areas, washing walls, windows and doors.  Greets guests in a friendly manner.

Maintenance Technician (2458 & 2470) - Full-time position.  Two different shifts:   7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., days and shifts vary. Weekends and On-Call availability required.  Starting at $13.00 per hour.  This position maintains the hotel by performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities.  Performs preventative maintenance procedures.  Knowledge of H.V.A.C., telephone equipment, power tools, emergency procedures, chillers, broilers, pool sanitation and carpet installation preferred.  Accommodates guests’ needs and requests.  Responsible for safe operation of all equipment, chemicals, and lockout procedures.  Experience required

Night Auditor (2464) – Full-Time Starting at $10.50 per hour.  This front desk position checks people in and out of the hotel, deals with guest issues, performs all audit procedures as set forth by the hotel, and balances cash receipts during the audit shift.  This position also prepares the front office for the day shift and acts as manager on duty during the overnight hours.

Room Attendant (2448, 2452 & 2466) – Full-Time - Starts at $8.16 per hour.  Weekends are required.  Responsibilities include cleaning the guestrooms of the hotel, making beds, replenishing supplies, vacuuming, dusting furniture, polishing metalwork, washing windows, cleaning bathrooms, and emptying wastebaskets.  Previous housekeeping experience is preferred.

 

FOOD/BEVERAGE DIVISION

Banquet Server (2467) – Part-Time - Starts at $10.50/hour, hours and days will vary.  Looking for primarily evenings and weekends.  This position sets up banquet table linens, place settings and centerpieces; serves all food and beverages; and clears away all dishes and table linens, prepares drink orders as required and to charge for such orders as they are prepared and in the appropriate manner.  To provide prompt and professional service to all customers and to practice all established control systems required in the dispensing of alcoholic beverages. 

This position takes the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.

Banquet Set-up (2408, 2428 and 2444) – Part-Time - Starts at $9.25 per hour.  Afternoon/evening shifts.  Shifts will vary with business volume.  This position sets up and cleans for all meetings and banquet functions.  This position also needs to complete all customer requests in a timely and courteous manner.  Banquet Setup assists with breakdown after events.  This position ensures the proper handling of all equipment and supplies.  This is a position for someone who enjoys physical work – moving chairs, tables, staging, etc.

Complimentary Beverage Utility (2455) – Part-Time - Starts at $7.25 per hour, Shifts are Sunday-Saturday 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm. This position assists in the execution of our complimentary reception by maintain complimentary bar area, equipment and utensils in clean and orderly condition. Clearing away dirty dishes, wiping up tables, and restocking the snacks. Guest interaction and customer service experience are required.

Complimentary Breakfast Utility (2460 & 2469) - $8.75 per hour, Part-Time Days worked will vary.  Shifts Monday-Friday, 6 a.m. to noon, weekends 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. This position assists in the execution of our complimentary breakfast by setting up the breakfast, clearing away dirty dishes, wiping up tables, and restocking the breakfast buffet. Guest interaction and customer service experience are required.

Dining Room Server (2439 & 2459) – Full-Time - Starts at $6.38 plus tips. Evening and Weekends. Restaurant serving experience is required. Responsibilities include serving meals to restaurant guests according to established rule of etiquette.  Additional duties include bussing tables and general upkeep of the bar and restaurant.  A great attitude and excellent customer service skills are needed.  Must be able to stand long periods of time and lift/carry up to 20lb frequently.

Kitchen Steward/Dishwasher (2465) - starting at $7.50, Responsibilities include maintaining kitchen work areas and restaurant equipment and utensils in clean and orderly condition. Sweep and mop floors, wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks.  Separate and remove trash, wash pots, pans, and trays.  Scrape food from dirty dishes and wash them by hand or in the dishwashing machine.  Put away and organizes utensils and dishes, performs other related duties as required.

Line Cook (2286, 2425, 2426, and 2429) – Full-Time - Starts at $10.50 per hour.  Purpose is to produce all food orders required by business volume and supervisor as quickly and efficiently as possible and to produce the highest quality product.  Also to produce all orders on an a la carte basis and to prep for buffets, banquets, salad bars and hor d’ oeuvres.  **Previous cooking experience preferred**
