MEMBERS OF THE FEDERAL BAR FOR NEBRASKA

The Federal Practice Committee would like each of you to assist it in providing input to the Federal Judges and Magistrates for Nebraska. The new FRCP (effective December 1, 2007) has precipitated a discussion on whether an effort should be undertaken to revise the local rules to conform and in so doing attempt to make them more user friendly. Some have said there is a perception that lawyers avoid Federal Court if possible because of the time and effort it takes to ensure compliance with the difficult local rules. Address for us the questions at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=Yw42UN6wHvmAUNUiu42DHA_3d_3d and please know there will be no effort to retain or publish your names with your answers. Your replies will go to the clerk's office who have been asked to provide us with the content. We are interested in what you have to say ONLY.

Thanks in advance for your help.
