    Omaha:Do not park at a meter. You will not be able to move your vehicle throughout the day, and the court cannot reimburse parking fines if you should get a ticket or be towed. When you report for jury service, please park at the first parking garage listed below, if possible.
    1. Central City Parking. Enter this parking garage at 17th and Capitol Avenue (enter from Capitol Avenue). You will receive a "JUROR" parking permit in the mail for this garage prior to your summons date.
    2. Douglas Street Garage / 2023 Douglas: The entrance is just west of 20th Street on the south side of Douglas. Look for a blue sign (behind the "Chiropractor 2111 Douglas" sign) which says "Douglas St. Parking." Bring change with you to park in this garage. The automated parking accepts bills of $10 or less, and will also accept quarters.
    Lincoln:Limited visitor parking is available in the federal parking garage in spaces 1-55, which include four handicapped spaces. Enter visitor parking between 16th and Centennial Mall Streets on "N" Street. All other parking spaces in the garage are reserved, so your car may be towed if you park anywhere except in spaces 1-55. If you park in the visitor parking, write your name, license plate number, and parking stall number in the record book near the security station on the first floor of the federal building.

    Do not park at a parking meter. You will not be able to move your vehicle throughout the day, and the court cannot reimburse parking fines if you should get a ticket or be towed. The court will mail you additional parking information before your jury service begins.
    North Platte:A parking lot is available across the street from the U.S. Post Office and Federal Building on the south side, along East 2nd Street between North Bailey Avenue and North Chestnut Street. Do not park along the street in a two-hour parking space. You will not be able to move your vehicle throughout the day, and the court cannot reimburse parking fines if you should get a ticket or be towed.
  • Courthouse Restrictions
    Required:
    • Photo ID (required to enter the building);
    • Jury summons (you may be asked to identify yourself as a juror); and
    • Enough clothing and personal items to accommodate a stay of up to five days if you live 60 or more miles away (one-way) and are staying overnight.
    Allowed personal items:
    • Newspaper, book, magazine, etc.;
    • Laptop computer (free wireless Internet access is available in Omaha and Lincoln);
    • Food, snacks, or items for special dietary needs (refrigerators and microwaves are available); and
    • Cell phone or pager (must be turned off or silenced in courtroom).
    Not allowed:
    • Weapons;
    • Items with a cutting edge;
    • Cameras;
    • Camera cell phones, unless you show the security officers at the entrance to the building your jury summons;
    • Mace or pepper spray; Portable TVs;
    • Radios; and
    • Recording and other electronic devices not listed here.
