              GENERAL ORDER RE SERVICE OF SUBPOENAS



     This matter is before the Court on an ex parte request
from the United States Marshal's Service.  Pursuant thereto,
     IT IS ORDERED that the United States Marshal's Service
shall serve subpoenas and make fact witness payments for the
Office of the United States Public Defender without further order
of the Court.  All fact witness vouchers (OBD-3) issued for
payment must be approved by the Chief Public Defender whose
signature will be maintained on record in the United States
Marshal's office.
