1. Knowledge of the appropriate food and beverage preparations and service standards.
2. Limited knowledge of beverages and wines.
3. Knowledge of all menu items and accompaniments.
4. Basic knowledge of the English language sufficient to understand inquiries from customers and communicate preparation methods. Ability to comprehend written product labeling instructions to enable the safe application of products and processes within the hotel.
5. Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items.
6. Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry or otherwise transport up to 50 lbs.
7. Knowledge of local attractions.
8. Knowledge of proper etiquette and manners.
9. Ability to multi-task.
10. Ability to work among a team atmosphere as well as alone.
11. Ability to perform duties in strict time parameters.
12. Ability to maintain service standards.
13. High school diploma or GED preferred.
14. No prior experience required.
