07/31/2007 Held the Strategic Plan for Courtroom Technology meeting in Omaha to discussed which direction courtroom technology needed to go. From the meeting we received several goals. One of which was Courtroom Technology Upgrade/Replacement. Wayne
10/15/2007 Hired a consultant to do an inventory of our courtrooms in Omaha, Lincoln and North Platte. Each courtroom was inspected to determine which parts were past their life cycle, which parts are not manufactured any more, and give us recommendations on updating our courtrooms so all courtrooms are more uniform. 10/29/2007 Testing new microphones recommended by our consultant on his visit. He sent us a demo unit which contains 2 wireless mics, a recharging station and a receiver. Currently testing in TDT’s courtroom. http://revolabs.com/products/solo/executive/ Wayne
06/09/2008 Submitted the systems design task order to Newcomb & Boyd for 3 Projects.
Project #1 upgrade audio in Judge Thalken and Judge Gossett courtrooms
Project #2 Infrastructure and monitors in Judge Urbom and Judge Kopf Courtrooms
Project #6 Upgrade audio and video in Judge Bataillon Courtroom.

Once the Design is finalized, it will be sent out for bid.

Depending on the final bids, we will decide how many of the projects we will be able to go forward with this fiscal year.

09/01/2008 Final design completed. Design sent out for bid and to GSA for infrastructure. wjb
10/22/2008 Project #1 and #2: Bid awarded. Waiting on GSA to do infrastructure.

Project #3: All parts have been ordered. Need to do wiring in the courtroom before everything can be installed.

Project #4 completed. We now have 3 wireless interpreter systems. One in Omaha, one in Lincoln and one smaller set for if we need more then one in either location.

Project #5: All Parts have been ordered. Waiting for the computer to arrive.

Project #3: Courtrooms #5, #6, #7 completed. Courtroom #2 waiting for Document camera from Courtroom #4

Project #5: PC and monitor installed. Meeting July 29th to discuss how its used.

Project #6: Did walk through of courtroom with consultant and discussed what we would like done in the courtroom. Awaiting his design.

Project #7: Pushed back until Project #5 is completed.

07/30/2010 Project #6: Judge Bataillon's courtroom. Install is at substantial completion. The consultant will be out to do final testing and then the install will come out and finish punch list.

Project #7: RFQ sent to GSA for infrastructure work. Final design almost completed and will be sent out for bid the beginning of August.
