* Inspects all door and window locks to ensure they are in working order and immediately alerts management to an unsecured or unsafe situation for the safety of guests and employees.
* Inspects all room equipment (TV, lights/lamps, faucets, radios) to ensure proper working order and immediately reports all room status and room maintenance deficiencies, in writing, to the Executive Housekeeper for prompt repair/resolution.
* Secures and maintains custody of equipment, keys and supplies at all times in order to protect and preserve hotel property.
* Maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times.

Technician I
The Omaha World-Herald has an opening for a Technician I in our Mechanical Maintenance department. The successful candidate will assist in the maintenance, repair, installation and modification of specific computerized automated equipment. Responsibilities also include compliance with the preventative maintenance programs, diagnosing problems, and the preparation and submission of required reports. We require electrical. AC/DC, and digital electrical experience. The successful candidate will possess basic knowledge of programmable logic controllers, variable frequency drives, motor controls, motor control centers and electrical/mechanical machine functions. We prefer industrial electrical with digital electronics background and some technical/trade school education. Experience in the following areas would be a plus: Software upgrades and troubleshooting machine level software problems via laptop; able to read and follow Electrical and Electronic prints; experience in ethernet and Interbus systems. Applicant must be willing to work day or night shifts. Regular work hours are 6pm - 3am.
